Youth Workshops | Support Groups | Case Management
PFC helps strengthen relationships between youth and parents to reduce risk behaviors in youth and teens, through shared cultural experiences and exposure, increased developmental understanding and increased parent/youth engagement. Through this program, youth are given the tools they need to successfully navigate academic, professional, and cultural barriers to become leaders within their families and communities.
Services
- Parent/ caregiver workshops to unite West African parents and families to promote shared strategies and discussion around child development and achievement.
- Children/ youth groups that build dynamic youth community and facilitate positive dialogue, leadership experience, sense of belonging, and further mentorship resources and connections.
- 1 on 1 support to help family members learn how to navigate systems, identify goals and priorities, and gain advocacy skills within a safe and comfortable sharing environment.
Eligibility
- Families with youth ages 11-17
